Annie Award Nominierungen 2012: Was für die Filmwelt der Oscar ist, sind für die Animationswelt die Annies. Die “International Animated Film Society” (ASIFA) hat heute die Nominierungen in den 30 Kategorien für die 40. Annie Awards Verleihung bekanntgegeben. Neben den Kinoproduktionen werden auch TV-Serien, Videospiele mit Bezug zur Animationskunst, wie auch diverse Animationskünstler für ihre Leistung bei z.B. Effekten oder Charakteranimationen ausgezeichnet.
Auch dieses Jahr gibt es in der Hauptkategorie “Bester Animationsfilm” nur die üblichen Verdächtigen zu finden. Als einziger nicht-englischsprachiger Film schaffte es Le Chat du Rabbin in die Königsdisziplin. Letztes Jahr waren es immerhin noch drei. Zumindest erhielt Zarafa noch eine Nominierung in der Kategorie “Bester Regisseur eines animierten Kinofilms”. Merida, Ralph reichts und Die Hüter des Lichts dominieren mit jeweils 10 Nominierungen das Rennen. Dicht dahinter folgen ParaNorman und Hotel Transsilvanien mit jeweils 8, Frankenweenie mit 5 und der Rabbi mit seiner Katze mit zwei Nominierungen.
Die Gewinner werden am 2. Februar 2013 in Los Angeles verkündet.
